We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 3rd placed GreekPromitheas (2-3) were crushed on the road by fourth ranked German MLP Academics Heidelberg (2-3) 82-62 on Tuesday. Heidelberg outrebounded Promitheas 38-20 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Heidelberg looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Promitheas ' players. It was a great evening for center Marcel Kessen (207-1997) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. American swingman Marcus Weathers (199-1997, college: SMU) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four MLP Academics Heidelberg players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Claudell Harris Jr. (193-2002, college: MSU) responded with 21 points and the other American import power forward Kendal Coleman (204-2002, college: CBU) scored 10 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Heidelberg moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Promitheas . Promitheas lost third consecutive game.
